Active Warrant Search in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania

Lackawanna County arrest warrants are public under Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure 513. Per the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure 513 and 513.1, arrest warrants become public 72 hours after the judge issues it or upon execution, whichever comes first.

Rule 513.1 creates an important exception:

  • Prosecution may ask a judge to seal arrest warrant information for good cause
  • Sealed warrants can remain nonpublic beyond the 72-hour rule

Many of the county’s arrest warrants are executed and maintained by the Warrant Unit of the Lackawanna County Sheriff’s Office.
